[KMovie] Jang Geun Suk and Kim Ha Neul to star in Korea's "Kimi Wa Petto"

It’s confirmed and final! Kim Ha Neul and Jang Geun Sook will star in the Korean movie version of “Kimi Wa Petto“. The news was confirmed by actress Kim Hyo Jin through Twitter and the cast will also include FT Island‘s Choi Jung Hun.

In the film, Kim Haneul plays ‘Eunee,’ a beautiful and successful woman who is socially awkward. Jang Geun Suk plays ‘Inho,’ an aspiring danseur/ballerino extremely popular amongst women. Through certain circumstances, Inho will live with Eunee as her pet and display various sides of a pretty boy.

Kimi Wa Petto (You’re My Pet) is a josei manga series written by Ogawa Yayoi and was made into a TV drama in Japan starring Koyuki (her character will be played by Kim Ha Neul) and Matsumoto Jun (his character will be played by Jang Geun Suk).

A press conference for the production will take place on March 3, 2011 at Ibaraki Airport in Japan. The filming will begin in May and will be shot in Korea and Japan.

  1. I believe this is now set to come out early January 2012 in Korea and the release in Japan will be right after. I’m excited and apprehensive because I adored Matsumoto Jun as Momo and Koyuki as “Sumire-chan”.

    Okaeri!

Anyway, JGS, please don’t disappoint me. Momo is my favorite character ever: j-drama, manga and beyond!
